How To Stay Fit During Pregnancy

You might also consider visiting a gym and having your percentage of body fat measured. Once you find out your number, you can work at replacing that fat with muscle, which may also help tighten skin.

These are the three main things Dr. Brewer talks about, because you need a good amount of all three of them to maintain good blood volume, which is hugely important, since you’re needing to produce so much more blood now that you’re pregnant. Of course, all of the vitamins and minerals are absolutely vital, but I won’t go into detail about them all, there’s far too many.

Lean protein is a “fat burning” food because speeds up your metabolism, stabilizes blood sugar and insulin levels, helps to build muscle tissue, and keeps you feeling full. Lean meats, eggs, low-fat dairy products, nuts, seeds, and whey protein powder are all great forms of healthy, high quality protein.
