Blooper reels are entertainment for years to come! Make sure the videographer gets plenty of candid shots. It’s good to have candid, exciting, unexpected shots that keep the newlyweds smiling from here to eternity. Make sure the videographer is prepared for those unexpected shots. And always remember-this is your wedding day and everything has to be close to perfect with the videographers and everyone working together to make this the best day of your life.
Well we all are familiar with the famous old saying; the first impression is the best impression. So present yourself as a well established business person on your first meeting with the client. This makes the client feel a little more comfortable about possibly spending money with you. Try to avoid meeting at your home or messy edit station. If you have an office, set up a client area with a viewing station. If you don’t have an office, offer to meet the client at peaceful places like classy coffee shop, or you can even offer to come to their house. And make sure you dress appropriately.
The jitters are over and you said I do. Finally, time to cut loose and dance the night away. During this part of the wedding day process, guests will be drinking rather heavy and having a great time. There’s always that one person that drinks a little too much. Be sure your intoxicated guests don’t attack the wedding videographer. The Wedding planner portugal wants to make sure he gets everyone in the video. If one of your guests feels uncomfortable to be on video simply pull the videographer aside and let them know.
Equipment- Honestly most people don’t know the appropriate equipment for shooting a wedding, and it does not always matter. Take a look at the work of your potential videographer and decide for yourself if you like the way it looks. The most important thing is that they are focused on telling your story. A truly talented videographer can tell a compelling story using only an iPhone. That being said, there are some items that are considered a must, such as tripods, wireless microphones, & at least 2 cameras.
As for a weak, slow, or non existent internet connection, an aircard can solve that problem. Most cell phone providers sell these. You get internet through satellite and wherever there is cell service, there is internet. This however is another unwelcomed cost as the price can quickly rival that of your cell phone plan. And beware of overages as video streaming will use up your allotted bandwidth pretty fast.
Now, I must admit, some of those memories aren’t as good as others. I been to one to many Weddings where a fight happens of some big drama event. However, Videographers for the most part make sure to cut those little drama events out. But sometime those turn into funny stories later in life. Why not? It’ll make a good laugh some day. I had my Grandparents tell me stories where I just really wish that they had caught that on film. What I would give to see some of those stories from back in the day. So cutting things out like that isn’t necessarily the best way to go.
Professionalism- One way to know if the person who will take the video in your wedding is professional is at your first meeting. He should be on time, dress accordingly and courteous. He should be able to establish a friendly atmosphere for you to be comfortable and he should be friendly and considerate with your entire request.
Be sure to go for the option of getting a VCD or DVD when the format of the videos is concerned. One of the advantages of it is that you can easily take parts of the videos from the DVD and upload them to your wedding website or Facebook. Of course you may have other new options when technologies change. So, you have to make sure that the videographer will be keeping up with the latest technologies so that you can get something in really good quality.
