Brenda Warner Joins Husband Kurt In Super Bowl Spotlight Again

When the Indianapolis Colts lost Peyton Manning to a season ending injury the team simply collapsed. Manning is a once in a generation quarterback who gave the Colts the equivalent of an extra offensive coordinator on the field. As luck would have it the injury to Manning could not have come at a better time for the ailing franchise.

Andrew Luck has certainly proven to be everything the Colts franchise had hoped for, and more. In looking at this one way, you could say that the Colts drafted the next, once in a generation, franchise quarterback. Luck is certainly on the shortlist for the rookie of the year and has the Indianapolis Colts in the thick of the playoff hunt.

The loss of Peyton put them in position to draft dynamic Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. The expectation was that Luck would be the future face of the colts franchise for years to come, much like they did with Peyton Manning. The only difference is that Luck has shown he is ahead of anyone’s expectations in his rookie season. Not only is Luck a rookie, so is an unusually high amount of the team. This is only more telling of the phenom QB’s skill and understanding of the offense. There is one thing I believe is key to the early success of Luck.

Iron Man 2 is bound to be one of the year’s biggest blockbusters. Robert Downey, Jr. returns and the cast is enhanced with Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson as more and more bad guys try to get their hands on Iron Man. This will be one of the last flicks to make Viacom money in the Marvel Comics franchise as Disney recently acquired the comic book empire’s many viable enterprises.

The Steelers also had another player visit camp on Satruday, Denver Broncos unrestricted free agent Daniel Graham. He is a good receiver and also blocker, but no deal was struck as the Steelers still must sit and wait the Burress saga. Last year he had 18 receptions for 148 yards, or 8.2 yards per catch.

While this was a win, they will need to have a better offense if they want to make it to and win the Super Bowl. We are painfully aware of the dangers of getting our hopes up.
